Pregnancy is a time of discovery, anticipation, fear and, very often, sleepless nights. Many of us just can’t get comfortable, especially in the later months of pregnancy. Apart from the adjustment of having to sleep on your side, aches develop in all sorts of areas – back, hips, shoulders, neck – just about everywhere. Add this to the constant bathroom trips and it doesn’t make for a very restful night, for mom or dad!
Many expecting moms have agreed that a pregnancy pillow is a solution to these problems. They provide comfort while sleeping, and many offer support during breastfeeding as well. However, there are so many different maternity pillows on the market – body pillows, wedge pillows – it’s difficult to know what the best pillows for pregnancy are and what you should look out for when buying one.
Using my experience, and the knowledge of other moms I’ve spoken to, I’ve investigated essential factors to take into account when looking to buy a pregnancy pillow and researched the good buys.
