Automated Selection of Typing Target Subsets (AuSeTTS)
This is a Microsoft Excel-based program for the rapid identification of subsets of molecular markers that would maximise discriminatory power of a microbial typing system.
It has been developed by Matthew O'Sullivan as part of a PhD project. It was initially developed to examine binary molecular targets, but can be used for multistate targets such as variable number of tandem repeats loci (VNTR) or multilocus sequence typing (MLST) alleles.

This program has been tested on Microsoft Excel for Windows versions 2003 and 2007. Macros must be enabled for the program to operate. You should save the file first, then open it, rather than run it within your web browser.
AuSeTTS is not designed for sequence-based data for this we would recommend the Minimum SNPs program developed by a research group at the Queensland University of Technology.
